I finished reading "The Noticer" by Andy Andrews, if you don't read any other book this year you MUST read this one. This will be a series of posts to help you get moving in the right direction. Check back with me. The crazy thing is, in all areas of life we need "PERSPECTIVE"! How can two guys in the same position see two different stories? It's because one guy sees problems while the other sees opportunity. So here goes, now this will sting but get over it! If you want change, YOU gotta change.
I will pose a few questions, I may elaborate, the important thing is to notice the questions and respond to them honestly. Journaling this process will keep all of your thoughts together.
1) What is it about me that other people would change if they could?
Why aren't people flocking in to help me? How come Bob is having so much success? Why don't I have the Midas touch? This is at the root of it, people don't want to be around you, just maybe. Could be the way you speak, how you dress, how you smell. Ever heard the saying "Check yourself before your wreck yourself"? Take a little time and think about this clearly and once you identify these areas, prioritize them. Wake up every morning with the goal of being better. It will be uncomfortable and weird at first but that's because it's will be something new to you. You will soon get the hang of it and enjoy the results. Watch your life change!
Now it's your turn to get to work, don't lose heart it will be painful but look at it like a trip to the doctor, it's required before we move on to rest of the process. I'll be here with you. Stay tuned for Day 2!
